    The kitty

The kitty is closed for now. Please don't send money yet.

    All our apps are free.

When the kitty opens, it runs on tips and gifts.

Thomas's ask (not the real split)

    • At least half to the community.
    • 10% to the weekly winner.
    • The rest for hardships and the crew's table.

The crew is Thomas Fristed and the people who build these apps.

Your town's Judges set the real split. It's your app.

The kitty opens when our first town Judge says yes, checks with the state, and holds it.

Until then, please don't send money.

    The state rule

    • In Oregon, the kitty opens only after our town Judge checks in with the Oregon Department of Justice Charitable Activities Section.
    • Gifts here go to neighbors, not a tax-exempt group, so they are not tax-deductible.

Part may go to the crew's table, only if your Judges say yes.

The crew's share could change this rule. A lawyer must check it before the kitty opens.

    Judges wanted

We need Judges to hold the kitty.

It stays closed until the first Judge says yes.

    • Someone with a standard of giving back.
    • You don't need a title or a group.
    • You're known for fairness.
    • You have a happy sense of giving.

    What a Judge does

    • Picks the weekly treat winner.
    • Holds the kitty.
    • Posts what came in, and where it went.

    Who they are: EMPTY.

    Keep it safe

Offer-ups are sealed and store-bought. Only.
